Darktrace is looking for a bright, articulate web developers to join a rapidly-expanding team developing both its public and internal web offerings.

Working across one of a number of existing projects, the ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our next generation websites and web tools. You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects.

This is a hybrid role, and the expectation would be to work a minimum of 2 days a week in the Cambridge office.

Responsibilities:

  • Working daily on web applications primarily written using a PHP framework

  • Confident working with JavaScript and SQL 

  • Familiarity working with the deployment and maintenance of the web application infrastructure including backend resources

  • Able to work within a small team, formed for particular tasks with some experienced members

  • Also, able to work on projects alone, on new brand-new ideas

  • Successfully prioritise how work fits into wider progress, as well as solving immediate challenges.

 Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience using web technologies such experience using web technologies such as: HTML5, CSS, WebGL, JavaScript, Node.js, and JavaScript-based libraries such as React, D3 and jQuery. (Essential)

  • Experience with PHP / Laravel Frameworks

  • Linux development environment (Essential)

  • Self-motivated, strong time management skills, and the ability to effectively prioritise a varied workload (Essential)

  • Knowledge on secure web development (Desirable)
