Sr. Software Engineer - Full Stack

You will join a team developing a state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Engineer to join our world class robotics team to develop better browser interfaces for controlling state-of-the-art robots. This role requires an emphasis on front-end development and design skills, but also needs familiarity with back-end technologies to create a complete application. The ideal candidate may have experience working in game development, IoT devices, or data visualization. As one of the first members of the web development team, you will have a large amount of creative freedom to help shape the structure and style of our interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement web-based interfaces for controlling humanoid robots

• Design and implement interfaces for monitoring, updating, and troubleshooting a fleet of robots

• Implement data visualization tools for individual robot diagnostics, fleet monitoring, and internal software and hardware test results

• Write well-tested, maintainable, and documented Python, HTML, and Javascript software

• Work with other members of the software development team to interface your front-end work with existing back-end systems

• Develop back-end code for systems with simple requirements and make minor changes to existing back-end systems when needed to support front end prototyping and development

Must Have

• 5+ years of production experience building web applications, or equivalent preferred  

• Linux 

• Experience working in an Agile Team 

• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following languages: 

  • Dart 

  • Java/Type Script 

  • HTML/CSS 

• Back-end REST API Frameworks such as: 

  • Python FastAPI 

  • Java/Type Script Frameworks 

    • NEST/NEXT/NUXT 

• Experience w/ Designing Database Schemas: 

  • SQL / PostgreSQL 

  • Mongo 

  • Time Series Database 

• Swagger / OpenAPI Documentation 

• Mobile applications development 

• Desktop-based applications development 

• Experience in implementing some of the following features: 

  • Graph/Data Visualization 

    • DearImgui, Three.js, or similar 

  • Drag and Drop Dashboard Design 

  • 3D Rendering 

    • WebGL, GLFW, or similar 

  • Pagination 

• Experience collaborating with external partners 

Nice To Have

• Experience deploying/designing front-end platforms w/ cloud technologies

• Docker and Kubernetes experience

• Experience in Implementing the following features:

  • Remote Device Management (Pushing Commands to IoT devices)

    • MQTT or similar

  • User Authentication
