Why we need you!
Skybox is looking for a talented Senior Web Game Developer to join the new and growing game development team. This role is pivotal for a new strategic project creating experiences for (competitive) gamers.
We believe this is a opportunity for a self-starting game developer with the right experience and energy. You’ll be part developing new concepts and ideas from scratch and becoming part of an experienced team that has earned its accolades across (competitive) gaming, tech and innovation.
This role is a full-time & permanent role located in Copenhagen, Denmark and reports to the CTO.
Things you'll be doing in this role
Since this is a new role, you'll be at the start of a new project that will design and create experiences for (competitive) gamers. Hence you'll be part in ideating, architecting and supporting making technical strategic decisions.
In general you'll be doing:
Architecting and developing a web based game development platform.
Assisting in the development of individual interactive activities (games).
Working on the asset pipeline using Blender 3d and glTF format.
Mentoring and coaching team members.
Collaborating with stakeholders to understand user, stakeholder and business requirements.
What we require & desire from the candidate
Important is that you also qualify for:
Proven experience as a Game Developer with a strong experience with the TypeScript language. Understanding of React, Vite.
Knowledge of web based or other game engines: Babylon.js, Three.js, Godot, Unity, Unreal.
Experience with Game Engine Architecture, e.g. ECS.
It's a bonus (but not required) if you have:
Familiarity with cloud services and deployment.
Knowledge of Blender 3D and the glTF file format.
