Senior Frontend Engineer - Visualization

This role is open within one of our portfolio companies, currently in stealth.

Build the data platform of tomorrow.

We raised a $4M seed led by Caffeinated Capital, with Crew Capital, Bungalow, MoonRiver, and angels from Flock Safety, OpenAI, and Uber - people who believe in what we’re building, and why.

We’re a team of five building a single platform where anyone in a company can understand, collaborate on, and extend the data that drives it. We’ve built systems at Flock Safety, Unify, Enable Medicine, Blackstone, and Bloomberg - and we’re obsessed with crafting the product we always wished existed: one that actually understands how a business works.

The way companies work with data today is broken. Teams still wire together ingestion, transformation, and orchestration by hand - fragile pipelines and too many tools, all to answer the same question: what’s happening?

But data is the engine of a business - and we believe it should build and adapt itself.

The product is built on an autonomous ontology: a system that continuously learns the shape of your business. It connects to your data, models your core entities and relationships, and keeps them up to date automatically. It becomes the connective tissue between systems and teams - a living source of truth you can query, reason over, and build on.

Over time, the product doesn’t just tell you what happened, it explains why.

Why growth slowed. Why a customer churned. Why a product slipped or quietly improved.

We’re building what powers them. The foundation that gives systems and teams real context, structure, and meaning.

We’re looking for a Founding Software Engineer to make complex systems feel simple, fluid, and beautiful. Someone who can define how product looks, feels, and behaves. You’ll translate deep technical power into clarity and flow, shaping the experience from high-level concepts to tiny interaction details.

You’ll be responsible for…

• Leading development of our frontend architecture and UI systems
• Owning product surfaces end-to-end, from concept to production
• Driving performance, reliability, and design consistency at scale
• Helping shape the technical direction and engineering culture from day one

You might be a great fit if you…

• Have 4-6 years of experience with React + TypeScript
• Have real 0 → 1 or startup experience - you’ve built things that shipped
• Think deeply about UX and product design
• Have experience with visualization (D3.js, Three.js, etc.) - important
• Have some backend range
• Bonus: you love building beautiful things that just feel right

Backend: Go, NATS (JetStream/KV), Python, Postgres, ClickHouse

• Salary Base - 160,000 -220,000 USD/year
