Senior Creative Technologist (3D)

This company is seeking a Senior Creative Technologist to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping a new platform that enables users to create mods for their favorite games through advanced AI technology and user-friendly tools.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and enhancement of the web-based 3D editor, focusing on features that improve user interaction and model manipulation capabilities
- Utilize your expertise in React and React Three Fiber to architect and develop a robust UI that integrates seamlessly with our 3D capabilities and backend services
- Actively engage in staying ahead of the curve by researching and adopting cutting-edge tools and techniques in 3D graphics and web-based applications
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to consistently deliver efficient and intuitive solutions that bring immense value to our community of gamers
- Commit to continuous learning and innovation, ensuring our tech stack and methods remain at the forefront of the industry, thereby enhancing our platform's capabilities while maintaining a competitive edge

Requirements:
- 6 years of specialized experience in building 3D graphics tools, with extensive knowledge of web-based frameworks such as Three.js (WebGL / WebGPU) and React Three Fiber
- Deep technical expertise using advanced 3D techniques, including physically based shading (PBR), raycasting with bounding volume hierarchies (BVH), projective texture mapping, and writing custom fragment and vertex shaders
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React, is essential, along with a solid understanding of state management practices and working with RESTful APIs
- A strong portfolio showcasing your work in 3D graphics and modern web applications
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
