We're seeking a passionate and visionary Senior Creative Developer to join our team and help shape the future of digital interaction.

Role Overview

As the Senior Creative Developer, you will lead the development of groundbreaking interactive web experiences, working at the intersection of creativity and technology. This role demands a deep understanding of modern web technologies, a passion for innovation, and the ability to mentor and inspire a team of developers. You’ll work closely with our Creative and Development teams to turn ambitious concepts into reality, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the digital space.

The role is remote, with our headquarters and most of the team based in Toronto, Canada. We prefer candidates residing in Canada, with a working timezone ±1 to ET.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development lifecycle from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with client objectives and industry best practices

• Architect and implement robust, scalable, and innovative solutions using cutting-edge web technologies and frameworks

• Drive the QA process to ensure high-quality deliverables, proactively identifying and resolving issues before launch

• Stay ahead of the curve by exploring and integrating emerging technologies and trends into our development processes

• Foster effective communication and collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project success

• Develop efficient production workflows and pipelines, optimizing processes for maximum efficiency

• Collaborate closely with the Creative Director to solve complex technical challenges and achieve creative goals

• Mentor junior developers, conducting one-on-one sessions and performance reviews to support their growth

• Present new technologies and tools to the team, cultivating a culture of continuous learning and innovation

• Leverage AI tools to enhance development efficiency, reliability, and performance

  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a creative digital agency or studio, leading the development of interactive projects

• Expert-level knowledge of web fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript

• Proficiency in modern web frameworks such as React/Next.js or Vue/Nuxt.js

• Advanced experience with WebGL, WebGL Shaders, Three.js, React Three Fiber, GSAP, Howler.js, 8th Wall

• Strong understanding of 3D Math (linear algebra/geometry) and experience with GPU shader code

• Ability to create dynamic, interactive graphical elements using code, incorporating particle emitters, user input, and sound reactivity

• Experience with 3D software like Blender or Cinema 4D, particularly in manipulating and optimizing 3D assets for the web

• Proven track record in estimating resources and timelines for complex projects

• Proficient in version control using GIT

  
  

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma and Photoshop

• Experience with Unity or similar game development engines

• Understanding of procedural content generation with Houdini
