Graphics Software Engineer
Project Overview:
As a Software Engineer (Graphics), you will own the technical development and delivery of high performance rendering, interactivity, and GPGPU programming in our commercial applications that enable this technology to solve real problems for our customers. This work includes everything from low level use of OpenGL ES and Metal for generic computing and rendering on mobile devices, to high level 3D libraries for the web. Customer Overview:
Mission to bring revolutionary technology to traditionally boring home services industries. We have already disrupted the moving industry, and now we’ve set our sights on property insurance. Team have developed state of the art technology that makes remotely adjusting a property insurance claim fast and easy and are bringing it to market in partnership with leading property insurance carriers
Responsibilities:
Oversee the development of high-performance GPU applications for real-time rendering and image processing.
Utilize Metal, OpenGL ES, or Vulkan for rendering on mobile devices and develop 3D graphics for the web.
Profile and optimize application performance for commercial use in the property insurance industry.
Work with design and product teams to integrate advanced graphics into user-friendly applications.
Effectively communicate technical solutions in a fast-paced environment
Skills/Requirements:
5+ years experience building performant GPU applications for real-time rendering, simulation, or image processing.
Fluency in a low level graphics API such as Metal/OpenGL/Vulkan/DirectX.
Mastery of linear algebra in the context of 3D graphics.
Willingness to collaborate across design and product
Proficiency with profiling and optimizing application performance
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
Prior startup experience
Jetpack Compose and Kotlin experience
React experience
Proficiency developing with a Javascript or Typescript 3D library such as Babylon.js or Three.js
