Fullstack web developer

Okgreat is looking for an enthusiastic web developer who wants to create tailor-made digital experiences with us. You will participate in creating meaningful and impactful projects within a wide variety of sectors and topics. We are looking for an eager and motivated team player with both front-end and back-end skills. We’re not defined by our tools and techniques and we’re very open to new things if they do the trick efficiëntly. We don’t expect you to master all aspects we value, we understand every individual has a unique focus and strengths. We rather believe in “growing into” and “shaping” the perfect role or position.

Needs

• You are proficient in HTML, CSS (SASS), Javascript/Typescript. You have experience with Tailwind, Bootstrap or similar and can convert designs (Figma, XD, …) to fully functional pages. Other techniques and frameworks are not scary to you.

• Terminal, Git, deployment … are incorporated in your workflow.

• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of PHP and the Laravel framework or is eager to learn this. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality web applications with performance, efficiency and scalability in mind.

• We use contemporary tools for website content management such as Craft CMS, WordPress, Statamic, Storyblok, … You don’t need to master all of these but you are not a one-trick pony and are not afraid of diving in and discover. It is also your job to help us decide which of these (or new tools) are suitable to implement in future new projects.

• Above all, you are very flexible to deviate from the path and try other things and techniques.

• You are very excited & eager to shape our fresh company and make cool quality things together that make you and us proud.

• You have a healthy (or unhealthy) passion for all developments in technology (& design?). You love what you do and you do what you love.

• You have a “can do” attitude. You love investigating other solutions, techniques, frameworks or tech stacks. You can find a good balance between innovation, practical considerations and performance. If you can’t fix it, you will find a way together with your colleagues, your friends mr. Google and mrs. ChatGPT, …

• You are eager to learn, take initiative and want to grow in your role and with our company.

bonus points, no must

• Knowledge or first experience with React, Next, Vue.js, Restful API …

• You have experience with e-commerce tools or projects (shopify, woocommerce, shopware, etc.).

• Interest in fun animations & page transitions that can take a design to the next level. You try to bring these to life with care and with performance and accessibility in mind. (Think: GSAP, Lenis, Swup, Barba js, Threejs, Webgl…).

• You have an affinity for good design.
