Full Stack Tech Lead

Full stack developer and technical lead responsible for delivering websites and web-based applications, interactive installations, and platform maintenance projects. Lead teams of 3-5 developers on 1-6 month duration and maintenance projects.

Work closely with Interactive Director, Production Lead, developers and the client on projects.

We will accept applications from candidates in any location; however, this role will require working hours that accommodate PT and ET clients in the US.

Permanent, full time (40 hours/week). Salary based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather requirements, architect and plan technical solutions. Create Technical Design Documents and Information Architecture (data flow, user flow, architecture diagrams) and develop an informed Technical Approach to projects. Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts as needed.

• Develop using Hydra (internal Javascript framework), JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, NodeJS and standard tech used within the studio and by specific clients.

• Lead tech and development team through delivery - coordinate work, manage capacity, contribute to project planning.

• Manage all client-facing technical work: gather requirements, present builds, coordinate integrations, and maintain technical relationships.

• Manage hosting, cloud and AI infrastructure with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, OpenAI or client hosting where needed

• CMS setup and installation (Sanity), design robust modular schemas, manage plugins and integrations, configure localization, and establish clear development and content author workflows.

• Ensure projects achieve technical goals and requirements for development, analytics, CMS, SEO implementation, security, performance and accessibility

Requirements

• 3+ years full stack development experience within project teams

• Team leadership background leading small to medium teams through project delivery

• Strong systems design and architecture skills

• Proven client-facing communication and stakeholder management abilities

• Digital agency experience preferred

• Product engineering experience nice to have

• Experience with ecommerce projects
