Full Stack 3D Engineer

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to develop and maintain a sophisticated 3D web platform using AWS cloud services. The ideal candidate will combine deep knowledge of AWS Amplify and cloud services with 3D graphics expertise and modern web development skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop a scalable 3D platform using Next.js, Three.js, and WebGL

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS Amplify and CDK/Terraform

• Implement complex 3D scenes with optimized meshes, materials, and lighting

• Design and manage AWS serverless architecture for the platform

• Create efficient asset management and delivery pipelines using AWS services

• Implement secure authentication and authorization using AWS Cognito

• Optimize application performance and cloud resource usage

Required AWS Knowledge

• Strong expertise in AWS Amplify ecosystem:

• Amplify CLI and Studio

• Amplify DataStore and API

• Amplify Storage for asset management

• Amplify Authentication

• Amplify Hosting and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with key AWS services:

• Amazon Cognito for user management

• AWS Lambda for serverless computing

• API Gateway for REST/GraphQL APIs

• S3 for asset storage and delivery

• CloudFront for content delivery

• DynamoDB for data storage

• AWS IAM for security policies

• CloudWatch for monitoring

• AWS AppSync for GraphQL APIs

Required Technical Skills

• 2+ years of experience in full-stack web development

• Strong proficiency in:

• React.js and Next.js

• Three.js and WebGL

• TypeScript/JavaScript

• Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or Terraform)

• Git version control

Required 3D Graphics Knowledge

• Deep understanding of 3D concepts:

• Mesh geometry and topology

• Material systems (PBR, non-PBR)

• Texture mapping and UV coordinates

• Normal mapping and other material techniques

• Lighting and shadow systems

• Level of Detail (LOD) implementation

• Mesh optimization and decimation

• Scene graph management

• Geometry instancing and batching

• 3D asset loading and streaming

• Memory management for 3D assets

Required Experience

• Proven experience with AWS Amplify full-stack applications

• Track record of building and deploying 3D web applications

• Experience with 3D asset pipeline optimization

• Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect certification

• Experience with GLSL shaders and custom materials

• Knowledge of 3D modeling tools (Blender, Maya, or similar)

• Experience optimizing AWS costs and performance

• Experience with large-scale 3D scene management

• Background in serverless architecture design
