nsave is a fintech that aims to democratise access to safe financial services for the middle-class in distressed economies. By leveraging on tech, Swiss banking infrastructure, and recent regulatory changes, nsave provides our customers with what they have never had – a safe place to put their savings.
About the role
We are building trusted and safe accounts for the middle-class everywhere.
People in distressed & hyperinflated economies lose up to 90% of their money within a single year due to no fault of their own by simply having their money in the local currency. Even when they keep it in USD/EUR, local banks restrict access to it, or even worse, sometimes completely lose it.
💻 That's what nsave is doing. nsave helps people from such places save USD/EUR/GBP in Switzerland without requiring them to deposit millions or physically be present in Switzerland. Users can open a nsave account with a smartphone abstracting away all global banking complexity.

As a design engineer you will work closely with our designer, engineering team and CTO to build the slickest and smoothest financial app and products. The core of your work is to go the extra mile with our designer, and turn their vision into reality with all its details. As part of doing this work, you will collaborate with the engineering team to plug into existing systems and APIs, and to coordinate the best approach for the design implementation.
We expect you to have ownership over everything visual in our products. It is your responsibility to get the help you need, and put in motion the projects & standards you deem necessary.

🎨 Design and Develop: Build visually stunning and user-friendly interfaces based on our designs and brand. We expect the highest quality and the best UX & UI for our products.
🛠 Performance Monitoring: Push our services to be as performant as possible on the frontend ensuring that any visual improvements do not come at a detriment to speed.
🔄 Integration: Work closely with the frontend and backend team to ensure smooth integration across the stack. You need to either implement this yourself or get the necessary help from the rest of the team.
🚀 Prioritisation: Actively engage in our development process, responding quickly to new requirements and changing priorities. Be prepared to learn on the go and adapt to the dynamic nature of a fintech startup.
Frontend Excellence: You should be able to build any UI or experience provided by our design team in a responsive and timely manner.
Design Taste: You should have a good design taste to know how to improve an existing design, or to spot any inconsistencies and issues.
User-Centric Mindset: A strong inclination towards UX/UI design principles and crafting solutions that solve user problems elegantly and efficiently.
Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to pivot and adapt to changing business needs and technology landscapes.

Technology
Our mobile app will maintain a dynamic, live risk assessment system of our customer base, using ML to analyse and assess users on their risk of fincrime such as AML, CTF. By doing so we serve customers viewed as high-risk by traditional banking because of incomplete data.
