Design engineer

About us

we’re an engineering-first design studio known for making things that are fresh, fun and more importantly gets people’s hearts twitching. we care about:

• spending 14 hours tweaking that easing curve so hits just right

• trying out 23958235 things and experimenting till something feels and looks right

• beautiful typefaces, colours combos, layouts that keep us engaged

• staying small so we can move fast (and send cat emojis in our slack)

• not making another linear clone (pls stop)

The role

you'll be

• crafting websites and animations with absurb levels of polish

• writing clean, fast, and scalable code

• working with headless CMSs (sanity)

• working autonomously and async

• caring about quality (a lot)

you should:

• know your way around a react / nextjs codebase

• be comfortable with an animation library of choice

• want to craft sites that you’ll be proud of

Our stack

• three.js / webgl

The honest bits

• we don't have google-sized paychecks or fancy snacks

• sometimes clients want work that won't excite you (we'll try to minimize this)

• we're small, which means wearing multiple hats (sometimes simultaneously)

• deadlines exist and occasionally they suck

• we're figuring things out as we go - perfect processes not included
