How to apply, key dates and fair recruitment process

Please send your CV as a PDF and links to two online projects to which you contributed, with a short description of your contribution to each. We’ll ask you to show and discuss the code for these projects during the interview stage.

Everything you submit should be in an anonymous format, to ensure we avoid unconscious bias during our selection process: Please take out any reference to your name in your CV, including any contact details, photos or portfolio web address.

Then send your CV, projects and descriptions to careers@appliedworks.co.uk by Sunday 8th December. We don’t need a covering letter, so please ensure your CV is up to date and contains information about you that is relevant to our selection criteria (stated above). Please make sure your contact details, including your full name, email address and phone number are included in your email.

We will then carry out blind recruitment, where we will score all CVs with personal details removed to lessen the risk of unconscious bias, and give under-represented groups confidence that their application will be fairly considered. We will also use the same standardised scoring criteria for all applicants.

Interviews (online or in person) will take place from Thursday 2nd January 2025. The selected applicants will be sent interview questions in advance. A shortlist of interviewees will then be asked to take part in a coding exercise at a later date.

A final decision is due to be made by Friday 17th January 2025 when all participants will be notified – whether successful or not.
